Developed by Perkins staff, other professionals and parents, Perkins Panda helps teach children pre-literacy skills and helps caregivers be more involved in children’s development. The complete kit includes three packets, each with an interrelated storybook, activity guide and cassette. Also: a resource guide, a story box and a Gund stuffed panda with a backpack that can hold a tape player. The storybooks have uncontracted (beginning stage) braille, large print and high-contrast illustrations. The first book is a tactile board book. Components are also available separately.
