This film explains the process of speech and language development, guides parents through the decision making process, and shows families using various methods of communication. Several families share their early experiences as five approaches to communication are highlighted. A new brochure, “Communication Approaches,” will accompany each film.
BEGINNINGS is a nonprofit organization for Parents of Children Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Services are free to parents and professionals in the state of North Carolina. Some services are provided to those out of state for a minimal fee. Literature and multi-media products are offered for which there may be a minimal charge.
