Big Books - Each theme includes two Theme Big Books that are used in Story Time lessons to introduce new concepts and vocabulary, and to promote discussions about theme-related topics.
Little Books - versions of the Theme Big Books are provided so children in the prekindergarten classroom can revisit favorite books and practice print concepts, such as handling books, turning pages, and tracking print. Four copies of the Little Books are provided for each Theme Big Book. Little Books can be used in small groups, sent home with children, and in Learning Centers to provide a print-rich classroom environment.
Lap Books - A selection of nonfiction read aloud titles is provided in larger lap-sized formats to highlight real photos!
Read-Aloud Books - An unmatched collection of literature and nonfiction books that support theme-related early learning in all domains.
Wall Charts for Building Oral Language - Big Wall Charts provide visual anchors for theme-related language and knowledge, and provide a springboard for meaningful conversations in the prekindergarten classroom. Each theme features one Big Wall Chart that develops language and builds background knowledge by having children listen, follow directions, describe, retell, problem solve, role-play, tell stories, and more!
