This guide incorporates active science teaching methods with experiments, card-matching games, worksheets, and assessments. Activities are fun, easy to teach, and ideal for individual or small group instruction. Each activity is labeled with an icon that indicates how the page is to be used: hands-on activity page, idea or extension page, science experiment and more.
You do not have to start with the first worksheet and progress to the last; instead, all of the activities are designed to give students additional practice on desired science concepts. Sammy’s Science House heightens students’ skills of observation, awareness, and drawing conclusions.
Worksheets from all seven units can be printed out, projected onto a whiteboard, or used as take home materials depending on students’ needs and teachers’ judgments. The workbook pages address the standards established by elementary science objectives. Each unit provides a complete list of the objectives covered in that particular unit.
